The Vietnam Veterans of Carbon County (VVOCC) is a veterans service organization located in Northeast Pennsylvania. We are an unincorporated not for profit association.
Currently, over 80 Vietnam Veterans are members.
Membership is open to all Veterans awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and
- Who belong to The American Legion, Amvets, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps League, or the Navy Club of the USA in Carbon County. or
- Who live in Carbon County but belong to a Nationally Chartered Veterans Organization outside of Carbon County.
Objectives and purpose of the VVOCC:
- Promote the social welfare of VVOCC members and their families.
- Provide information and assistance to disabled and needy members.
- Carry on programs to perpetuate the memory of deceased members.
- Conduct educational programs on the history of the Vietnam War.
- Maintain a written history of member's involvement in the Vietnam War.
- Sponsor and participate in Carbon County patriotic activities.
- Provide informational, social, recreational, and charitable programs for members and family.
- Perpetuate the memory of the Vietnam War as a unique and significant part of U.S history.
Vietnam Veterans who would like to join our organization should submit an application along with a copy of your DD214/215.
If you do not belong to a Nationally Chartered Veterans Organization, our Commander or Vice Commander can assist you with this.
